Task

In this group assignment, my members and I were assigned to come up with a topic and produce a 6-8 minutes discussion video. The contents required in the discussion are natural settings, the topic decided earlier and human impact towards natural setting & ways to overcome.

Discussion Video

Are you aware that there are just about 400 North Atlantic Right Whales left on the planet? Do you realize that there are only about 100 breeding female whales among the 400? What caused this to happen? What are our options? Human actions have a significant impact on nature and the environment. Let's get started on our mission to save the azure water's wonderful life.

Progress

Script Writing

Everyone was assigned with a role. We did our script together in the shared google doc.

Video Shooting

Our video genre is press conference. We did the shooting together via Zoom and here was the most fun part.

Do Research & Gather Information

We kick started our assignment by creating a shared google doc where it was easy for us to organise and keep track our progress.

Editing

I was in charged in video editing. The software I used was Shotcut. This process took me 5 days to complete.

Reflection

3.0 Thinking and Problem Solving Skills

As we were doing our research, I realized that some of the content has digressed from the topic where none of my teammates notice. Hence, I informed my teammates which part had problems and corrected it together. Whenever I was tucked, I referred other groups to get inspiration and new ideas.

5.0 Interpersonal Skills

I was able to distribute the task equally to my teammates and keep track of them. I also assigned the role to them which I am confident that suit them best.

8.0 Digital Literacy

This is my first time doing video editing using Shotcut and I was able to produce a video where my teammates apppreciated. They said the video was fun to watch and engaging.
